July 2020 Update

It has been a long time since my last post. A lot of people had technical difficulties; so, hopefully, this will work much better. (If not, please let me know.)

FROM THIS POINT ON, ALL POSTS ABOUT GREGORY WILL BE PASSWORD PROTECTED.
THE PASSWORD IS: PENGUIN
(Gregory’s favorite animal is a penguin 🐧 )

Gregory has been through several Remicade Infusions and doctor’s appointments over the months since my last update.

He is doing ok. Things are not perfect, but he is much better than he was a year ago. He has gained weight and is growing (good news!!). But he is still dealing with symptoms and his labs are not perfect.

Thankfully, his liver enzymes remain stable.

His Crohn’s Disease treatments are going smoothly, but his levels aren’t were they need to be. Unfortunately, because Gregory is taking two different medications that aren’t typically given together, his doctors are hesitant to make any changes at this point as long as his symptoms are manageable.

In September, he will have three procedures under anesthesia: Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Liver Biopsy. There will all be done at the same time, and we will spend the greater part of a day in the hospital (as long as all goes well).

Gregory also has an appointment with another specialist regarding some physical symptoms that his other doctors do not specialize in. That appointment is in August.

Overall, things are going well. Not perfect, but MUCH better than 2019. That’s for sure!

Thanks for your continued prayers!
